ANEK LINES announces the signing of a joint service agreement with Attica Group for the execution of combined itineraries by vessels of the two companies in the international route Patras – Igoumenitsa – Ancona and the domestic route Piraeus –Herakleion, Crete.
Through the 3-year joint cooperation -effective as of 1st June, 2011, -it is achieved the upgrade of the domestic route Piraeus – Herakleion, Crete through the deployment of the new-built and modern ferry Olympic Champion.
Furthermore, the optimatization of the vessels capacity is achieved in order to reflect the current demand of the route while maintaining the high quality of services offered today.
The new joint service creates new dynamics for the development of both routes and helps curtail the continuously rising vessel operating costs, which is, inter alia, due to the sharp increase in the price of fuel oil.
